The packaging scale PCE-PM ... C is a verifiable and solid scale at an affordable price. The verification of the packaging scale PCE-PM ... C is carried out in the competent organism in calibration according to the trade class M III. The packaging scale PCE-PM ... C has a solid lacquered steel base and a lacquered steel platform coated with plastic. The packaging scale PCE-PM ... C comes with wide levelling feet to be placed properly. The packaging scale PCE-PM ... C terminal is placed on a support to work with and it is firmly mounted in the packaging scale. To ensure a good readability, it is possible to change the position of the display. The main functions of the packaging scale PCE-PM ... C are the following: auto tare function for a correct initial weight, piece counting function to detect quickly and with accuracy objects of the same weight, RS-232 to connect it to a printer or to a PC or portable computer for data logging function (optional software). The standard version allows the connection with the GLS and DHL software to a printer or a PC, to ensure the weigh of net weights. Other functions are: a 4-20 mA analog output and 0-10 V analog output, date and time, adjustment of limit values, continuous weights, calculation of the percentage, indication of the maximum weight, anti-shock filter and many other (other below).
The packaging scale PCE-PM ... C comes with a CE certification. It meets with all the metrological conditions and it can be used in those companies where a verification is not needed. There is an optional ISO certificate available. The optional ISO calibration certifies the recovery of the measurement values according to the national normal pattern.

- Feature package 2 for the packaging scale PCE-PM:
The standard features of the verifiable packaging scale are the following: auto tare function, piece counting function, automatic data transference, setting of the RS-232 port and memory of the tare value. There are other features within the feature package 2:
- Anti-vibration filter (FIL)

- Dual scale:
In case you need a higher resolution at weighing low range objects, we can offer the dual scale. For instance, if you acquire the packaging scale for 60 kg and add the dual function of 30 kg you will have a reading capacity from 10 g to 30 kg, and when it exceeds 30 kg, a reading capacity of 20g.

- Stainless steel platform
Additionally, we can provide the packaging scale with a high quality stainless steel platform resistant to abrasions.

- Printer:
The verifiable packaging scale can be connected to a thermal printer with adhesive labels. This device can be sent when the scale is ordered because it only needs a basic setting-up. The thermal printer PCE-BP 1 does not need any special configuration.

- Date and time:
If you wish to print weighing values with date and time, it is possible to provide the packaging scale with an internal clock.

- RS-232 port:
Our verifiable packaging scales come with a RS-232 port. In case you need to connect our packaging scale to a printer and a PC or portable computer at the same time, we recommend to order another RS-232 port to avoid changing connections.

- 4-20 mA analogue output:
If you provide the verifiable packaging scale with an analogue output, you will be able to use it for control and monitoring works related to the weight. The verifiable packaging scale will displayed the weight in mA units taking into account that the range will be always between 4 and 20 mA. 4 mA means 0 kg (no load). In case of voltage drop it can indicate the fail. 20 mA will be the maximum load. It can be connected to a control relay and used it for mixturing.

- 0-10 V analogue output:

Although this is not as usual as the analogue output from 4 to 20 mA, it works and operates in the same way, except for the possibility of displaying a fail, that is 0 V will be 0 kg and the maximum load will be 10 V.

- Adjustment weight:
This function allows using the packaging scale as a control device in an economical and easy way. There exits also the possibility to set the limit values, one high and the other low. Additionally, the packaging scale comes with a testing interface to be able to switch up to 3 circuits with the help of the limit values. The activation of the three circuits can be determined as a single or continuous pulse. This is important for the control of the visual and acoustic alarms. If the weight is below the limit value a yellow light will be on; if it is between the upper and below value a green light will be on and if the upper limit value is exceeded a red light will be on.

- Continuous load
Thanks to the high quality of or verifiable packaging scale and its special continuous load function, it is possible to detect the current weight before and after turning on / off the verifiable packaging scale. You can use this function for the control the proper level in a winery. Other features such as to get the defined limit values can also be used without any problem (see the above paragraphs).

Additional components for the verified packaging scale:

- Buzzer If your packaging scale has the limit values function, it is possible to transmit an acoustic signal when the established limit value is exceeded. The buzzer will sound approx. at 90 dB.
- Visual indicator: With the visual indicator it is possible to display the established limit values to exclude any negligence. If the weight is below the limit value a yellow light will be on; if it is between the upper and below value a green light will be on and if the upper limit value is exceeded a red light will be on.
- Legal For Trade Verification (Class III) The verification procedure includes laboratory calibration process and certification according to the rules (legal for trade) of legislation /verification in Germany (based on the customers postal code (meteorology). The customers name and address is filled in. They are accepted all over the world.
- ISO Calibration certificate The calibration procedure includes laboratory calibration process and ISO certification. The customers name and address is filled in. These certificates are comparable to NIST and UKAS certificates. They are accepted all over the world.
- RS-232 cable To use it with a printer and the corresponding software to send the data directly to GLS, DHL or UPS.
- Software Kit (PCE-SOFT-PM) The kit includes a software for transferring the weighing data to a PC or Portable and a RS-232-cable to transfer, register, analyse, edit and prit weighing results. The transferred data can also be sent for further analysis, as for instance: sum up diverse values, ... In case your PC or Portable uses USB-Interfaces, you can use the adapter in connection with the standard RS-232 Cable.
